Corporate Chartered Framework
The Chartered Banker Institute received a new Royal Charter in November 2018 establishing it as the UK’s professional body for bankers, with increasing global impact and influence. The Royal Charter gives the Institute the authority to publicly recognise organisations investing in the professionalism of their people by awarding ‘Corporate Chartered’ status. Corporate Chartered is the Institute’s framework to support delivery of its strategic purpose to lead the professionalisation of UK banking.
An agile, open architecture approach to professionalism, Corporate Chartered aligns to an organisation’s own structures, Learning & Development capability and appetite. It provides a link between individual professionalism and organisational accreditation. Corporate Chartered can also support and enhance board and regulatory reporting.
Providing Value
For firms, Corporate Chartered status offers external recognition – award of the Chartered Banker Institute’s mark is a visible demonstration of professionalism that customers, colleagues, regulators and stakeholders can use to inform their decision-making and engagement.
For individuals, the framework is built on professional qualifications and membership which give transferrable, tangible recognition of professional expertise and conduct. Research shows that individuals who are members of the Chartered Banker Institute feel considerably more pride than their non-member counterparts.
