Chartered Banker Annual Banking Conference 2021 - Day 2
The overarching theme for this year’s conference will be “responsible banking and the implementation of international standards”. It will consider among other things, how well banks are embedding the UN Principles for Responsible Banking in their organisations, how responsible banking links to the Chartered Banker Institute’s Professional Code of Conduct, and what responsible banking means for the education, training and development of bankers.
Day 2: How are the UN Principles for Responsible Banking being implemented by banks?
Day 2 of the Conference is opened by our chair of the session, Joanne Murphy, Chief Operating Officer, Chartered Banker Institute.
We then have a Keynote Speech from Oliver Holbour, Director of Strategy and Ventures, NatWest Group.
The Panel will discuss:
- ""What initiatives are banks, in different regions, implementing to align with themselves UN PRB’s both externally (with customers) and internally (in terms of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) training of their staff, for instance) to raise their colleagues’ capability?"
- "What initiatives are working, the lessons learnt and the challenges faced, and how have those challenges been overcome by banks?"
- "What more could be done to raise awareness of the UN Principles and their implications beyond specialist teams in banks?"
