This year marks a significant milestone for Cambodia’s capacity building in banking, as we celebrate the third anniversary of the partnership between the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI) and the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF). This partnership has focused on enhancing the skills and knowledge of banking professionals through high-quality education and training. Around 30 banks and microfinance institutions have participated in programs such as Chartered Banker by Experience, Certification in Responsible Banking for Board Members and Executives, and Green & Sustainable Finance, highlighting the value and growing recognition of our work together in the Cambodian market.

Celebrating 150 Years of Chartered Banker Institute
This year also marks the 150th anniversary of the Chartered Banker Institute. For one and a half centuries, this body established by bankers for bankers has been at the forefront of advancing professionalism in banking. This milestone reinforces the world’s oldest banking Institute’s ongoing commitment to excellence in banking education and leadership across the globe, including Cambodia.
The three-year collaboration with IBF, combined with the Chartered Banker Institute’s 150-year heritage, stands as a testament to the continued growth, success, and transformation of Cambodia’s banking and finance sector.
