CB:PSB Independent Monitoring Panel Report 2018

The Independent Monitoring Panel Report 2018 details progress on seven recommendations made by the Panel to the Chartered Banker Professional Standards Board (CB:PSB) in their inaugural report. In the Report, the Panel maintains its view that professionalism is good for business because it underpins customer trust and colleague pride. The Panel welcomes the continued success of the CB:PSB in rolling out the Foundation Standard and supporting pathways to qualification but notes a lack of traction in other areas. To maintain momentum, the Panel suggests that the CB:PSB should align more closely with the professional body for bankers, the Chartered Banker Institute, and in so doing provide clarity for customers, colleagues and banks.
