Dear Colleagues, Friends, Members and Students,

On behalf of the Chartered Banker Institute, I would like to thank everyone who has checked in with us in recent days, which we greatly appreciate. I'd like to reassure our members, students and partners in the UK and overseas that we're still very much open for business. It's clear, though, that it's not going to be business as usual for many of us for some time. In particular, we'll miss seeing many of you face-to-face.

Almost all of our Institute staff are now working remotely, and through our online learning platforms and we are continuing to support our members' and students' learning journeys with little or no disruption. For our exams, we offer remote invigilation meaning individuals can take their exam at home, at a time convenient to them. Our higher-level qualifications are assessed via assignments, and our experiential assessments can be conducted remotely via Skype or Zoom.

I know that, for some, there will be many other family, community and work commitments that come before learning. For others, there will be an opportunity to invest more time in personal and professional development. If you're a student, you can continue your studies with the Institute remotely, with all the support you'd usually expect to receive. If you're a member, we have a very wide range of online resources for you to access, and are moving as many of our planned events as possible online too. We've also got everything in place to support our international partners, and their students and members.

The one thing that will change is that to support our colleagues working remotely and to ensure consistent service and support to members, students and others wanting to get in touch with us we are asking all enquiries to be directed via webchat and/or e-mail until further notice - the great majority of enquiries already come in this way to us, in fact. This will help us respond as promptly as we can.

Please do stay in touch, stay safe, and hope to see you soon.

Simon
