The future of work: Home or Hybrid?

Before moving to higher education at the end of 2020, I spent 19 years in the financial services industry where I held numerous roles such as Business Analyst, Financial Analytics Manager, Financial Operations Manager and Chief Financial Officer. The specific areas I was involved in was Behavioural Management in an insurance environment, Product Pricing, Banking and Financial Modelling.

Since moving into Academia my focus has shifted slightly as I now teach undergraduate Management Accounting, supervise postgraduate research and conduct research into budgeting for Agile Software Development to facilitate investment decisions and Management Accounting.

Dr Krystal Wilkinson is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management, and researcher in the Centre for Decent Work activity, focusing on the work-life interface, flexibility and wellbeing at work. Her research studies have focused on the experiences of solo-living managers and professionals; the transition to homeworking during the covid-19 pandemic; complex fertility journeys and employment; and perinatal mental health and employment.  Prior to her PhD, Krystal worked in operational HR roles in a range of industries. She is a member of the national assessment team for the CIPD and has authored CIPD book chapters and learning materials on wellbeing at work and flexibility, amongst other topics.

Sid Moore (Sudipta) qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999 from a mid-tier London firm. She set up her own practice - Moore Accountancy in Altrincham in 2000, after spending time working in Banking and Industry. 

Moore Accountancy provide tax and accountancy support to landlords, sole traders, and other small businesses. There is currently a team of 8 people operating under a variety of working patterns to suit individual needs and commitments.
