Event details

This is a joint event with the Chartered Banker Institute, Manchester Metropolitan University and ICAEW North West.

The Collins Dictionary just named ‘NFT’ as the word of the year.  But what does it mean?  Just what is a ‘non fungible token’?

What about DeFi, Smart Contracts, and Cryptocurrency? What is everyone talking about?  Why now?

These technologies will transform financial services.  As a result, bankers and accountants need to understand how they work.

In this session, Niels Pedersen, author of Financial Technology: Case studies in Fintech Innovation, will introduce you to blockchain technology.  As part of this, you will learn how it works and why it is useful in financial services.

Best of all, everything will be in plain English.  No maths.  No code.  No prior knowledge required: this webcast is accessible to all professionals in banking, accountancy and financial services.
