The Art and Science of Leadership

What makes a great leader – are they born with it or do they learn it?  We will have a conversation about what we think great leadership is and then look at some of the conditions encouraging it.  This will guide us to some of the techniques behind leadership and how you can emulate this for yourself.   We aim for you to leave inspired, motivated and capable to lead well now, and in the future. Oh, and everyone can lead, not just the person in charge…

Speaker

Chris has led businesses in a number of sectors for over 20 years including manufacturing, insurance and banking. His passion is to work with leadership teams to help them as they scale and transform their businesses. He combines leadership experience gained running large businesses like Green Flag and The Royal Bank of Scotland Retail Bank with a technical understanding of how companies need to be structured and operated as a former corporate finance lawyer. He launched Opto Advisory with his long time collaborator Paul Le, with one of their core segments being helping scaling businesses develop the strategic and operational frameworks to support rapid growth.  They have worked with some of the most successful scale up businesses that have come out of Scotland and helped the leaders guide their teams through  this growth.
